Calculation made easy
Whether it's a brochure or a folding box, the appealing thing about an automated solution is that every employee achieves the same result.
The uTraxx quotation and order manager covers all product types and printing processes. Automation encompasses all steps, from calculation and production to agency services and delivery logistics.
It is often thought that automation only works with standard products. But an intelligent ERP system can do much more: With the uTraxx order manager, even complex products can be calculated and processed automatically, such as a comprehensive brochure containing various content sheets with different printing inks and materials, as well as a folding element with fold-out pages and a cover. The internal sales representative can use the intuitive “Quote and Order Manager” to select the appropriate product with the desired components, calculate it, and have it imposed.
Cost comparison in seconds
AI checks the various options and associated costs in seconds, based on the product description and the available printing machines—including transport and storage costs. The appealing thing about an automated solution is that every employee arrives at the same result. The system determines a ranking for the most cost-effective production method. Digital printing often makes more sense for smaller print runs, half-format for medium print runs, and 3B format or roll for larger print runs. If there are bottlenecks and a machine is already occupied, the preselection can be overridden and a different production method selected.
Customized configuration of product types
For quick entries, uTraxx customers can configure the selectable products—from single sheets to leaflets to bound printed products—to suit their in-house offerings. It is also possible to print different components together on one sheet. Additional items can also be added for calculation purposes, making it easy to generate advertising packages. Depending on the characteristics of a product, uTraxx can also be used to calculate graduated prices. For single-piece products, such as flyers or banners, which are produced using digital printing or large format printing, it makes perfect sense to work with graduated prices. Additional services, such as agency work, can be calculated, managed, and invoiced in the same order.
All types of packaging
With uTraxx, not only can classic commercial products be calculated and imposed quickly and easily, but also packaging printing products, whether yogurt lids, labels, or folding cartons. In addition to process colors (CMYK), spot colors and finishes can be added in the configurator, which are applied in several steps and on different machines, such as for flexographic or digital printing. uTraxx can map all variants that exist in practice. Unit prices can be calculated as well as tender offers. Production can also be controlled automatically by uTraxx, including automated transfer of CF2 data for cutting dies.
Cross-border deliveries
Delivery logistics can also be handled entirely with uTraxx. This also works for collective orders with different products, recipients, delivery locations, and delivery dates. The system also allows you to define cross-border routes, create pallet labels, freight documents, pro forma invoices, and final invoices. The uTraxx order manager contains everything you need to easily process even complex orders.
